The Rajah of Monkey Island. By A. Lee Knight. (Ward,

Lock, and Co.)—The Rajah of Monkey Island is a young middy, and the account of his slave-dhow captures and the history of his rise to the commanding position of ruler of Monkey Island will be most fascinating to boys, who will be amused at Ugly-Mug, the Negro -cook, and his humorous behaviour. The story is a trifle too long, but it is a very readable one for all that, and the Rajah is a very natural and engaging character.
