was L573,000 against £378,000. A final dividend is an- nounced of 171 per cent., making 321 per cent., compared with one payment of 3o per cent. for the previous year. In addition, however, there is to be a cash bonus of to per cent. comparing with a capital bonus of the same amount in respect of the previous year. Naturally the cost of the dividend now announced has increased by reason of the bonus shares issued last year and also by the issue for cash of 600,000 5s. Ordinary shares in June of last year which did not then rank for dividend.
