Edna, according to a funny old book we found when we were burning my mother's things, is a name which means 'Compassion'. It's certainly an apt name for yours truly since I spend a dickens of a lot of time visiting my loved ones in clinics, hozzies and terminaries. It was in one or all of these that I first bumped into my old Bohemian Buddy and Russ Conway look-alike, Jeff 'Leather-Liver' Bernard. I adore that little face of his — whatever col- our it happens to be — because I suppose we are both, in our own ways, a couple of Survivors.
