The chief arrangements for the meeting of the British Association

at Glasgow are as follow. The whole College of Glasgow is to be appro- priated to the meeting of the various sections, in the following order-- Section A.—Mathenitoics and Phesies, Greek class-room,

B.—Chemistry of Clicinistrv class-room. alt I rtsele.d Geography, t;ommou-hall.

D.—Zoology and Ptstetly, Divinity elss-raons E.—Medical Science, Medical class-room. F.—Statistics, Logic class-room.

0.—Mechanical Science, Mechanical class-room.

The meeting will extend over a week, :led the sections will assemble On Thursday the 17th instant, at the above departments at Glasgow College. The first evening meeting will be held at the Theatre Royal, on Thursday evening, at eieht i al, when the Marquis of Bread:111)one, the President elect, will te:ie Ilis chair. The Association-dinner will take place in the Theatre ft.:, el, on Tuesday the 221 instant, at half- past five. The membere of the tleoloical section will proceed to the Isle of Arran on Saturdtly, rein .,i1 on the island during Sunday, and re- turn on Monday.
