Hindmarsh—Hovendon. (Smith and Elder.)—The Dictionary continues to be so well conducted and so punctually issued, that it is scarcely necessary to do more than chronicle its regular appearance, and perhaps speculate on the time within which it may he expected to reach completion. Tho most im- portant names, reckoning them by numbers, aro Homo, Holland, and Hope. Richard Hooker, Benjamin badly (in whom Mr. G. G. Perry contrives to find the curious merit that, though he did not believe the Athanasian Creed, he continued to read it, and so differed from other people whom Mr. Perry might name), Hogarth, Thomas Hood, are among the better-known names, but there are not many of much importance.
