Yesterday, the Select of St. Martin-in-the-Fields appeared at Cle.rkenwell, attended

by their witnesses, to prefer indictments for riot against those inhabitants who had the courage to assert their, right to be present in the Vestry on Easter Monday last, at the choosing of Churchwardens and other business of the parish; when they were corn- pelled to make a forcible entry, in consequence of about ten or a dozen of the Select having locked themselves in the Vestry-room to transact the• nioat important parochial business. The Grand Jury, much to their honour, have thrown out the bill.-Froni a Correspondent.
