upon the safety of railroad-speculations, which were proceeding to an extent in France beyound all precedent. The National observes, that—" Specu- lations in railroad shares have become so excessive, that the stock- brokers are determined to have two settling days in each month : we fear a melancholy conclusion to this rage for speculation."
