It is astounding that British trade unionists, who are as

.a whole actively anti-Communist, should have allowed themselves to be represented on the International Federa- tion of Trades Unions by two Communists. When these two Communists were turned out of office the other British delegates in the Conference expressed furious resentment. What can the Continental delegates think ? Naturally they conclude that the British trade unionists in the mass arc really Communists. What a muddle ! Unfortunately it is characteristic of much .that happens in the Labour movement.
