THE CUBAN HURRICANE

SIR,—Public memory is short. It is now some time since Hurricane Flora devastated the Caribbean, but the damage to the people and the economy of Cuba has by no means been made good. There is still urgent need for help—dried foods, medical and veterinary supplies and equipment, blankets, clothing, or for money which can be used to buy these things. So, though the Cuba Hurricane Relief Committee is more than grateful to the individuals and firms who have so far contributed almost £20,000 for immediate relief, we write to remind your readers—if such a reminder is needed— that their donations, large or small, are still desperately needed. They may be sent to: Cuba Hurricane Relief Fund, c/o Prensa Latina, 60 Fleet Street, London, EC4.
