We have received a series of Standard Readers, edited by
Professor Meiklejohn. ( Blackwold and Sons.)—These are six volumes, adapted for the six standards of primary schools. The choice of extracts, so far as we have been able to examine the volumes, seems judicious, extending over a wide range of interesting subjects, and fairly repre- senting the main divisions of human life and knowledge.
