The Italian journals confirm the rumour that the Sicilians have

recom- menced hostilities against the Neapolitan troops. We learn from the Co- stituente Italian of Florence, of the 4th instant, that on the 2d, Genera/ Filangieri set out for Gaeta, on board the Capri. He has given orders also for a steamer to be kept in readiness to take him to Messina, where hostilities have commenced.

A letter from Naples, of the 30th December, in the Alba of Florence; states that the Sicilian army has retaken Milazzo, after a sanguinary en- gagement, and obtained a complete victory in the environs of Messina. A rumour was current on that day, that the Sicilians had proclaimed Lu- cien Murat King of Sicily. It is also stated that a Russian envoy had arrived at Naples, on a special mission.
