The case of Mr. Daffy is again adjourned. In the

Queen's Bench, on Thursday, Mr. Butt proposed, on behalf of the prisoner, that he should be allowed to withdraw his demurrer, plead over, and proceed at once to trial —on certain conditions. The Attorney-General at once rejected this pro- position, and required the judgment of the Court one way or other. The Judges intimated that it was their intention to pronounce judgment; but, before doing so, they wished to hear counsel on both sides as to what the judgment ought to be; and ultimately Saturday next was fixed for the next move.
