SHAKSPERE and SHERIDAN flourish at Sadler's Wells ; where Comedy

and Tragedy share each week between them. The Rivals has suc- ceeded the School for Scandal ; Hamlet and King John are announced to follow Macbeth and Othello; and Virginius has been played with effect. Besides Mr. PHELPS and Mrs. WARNER, the company includes Miss COOPER and Mr. HUDSON, who are also known to the frequenters of the great theatres, and some promising performers of less note. Mr. HUDSON is a favourite here, and not undeservedly : he plays Irish cha- racters with congenial humour and a gentlemanly spirit, and sings with that admixture of pleasantry and pathos which Irish songs require.
