The season of the French Plays closes finally on Monday

next. Madame ALBERT—the alpha and omega in the St. James's list of stars—having been reengaged, has played on the last few nights together with Mademoiselle Di.JAZET and M. LEVASSOR. Incessant novelty and varied excellence have characterized the entertainments that Mr. MITCHELL has provided for his subscribers : independently of the " stars " of the Parisian stage, the permanent company included artists of distinguished talent ; new performers have been continually engaged to give completeness to the cast of particular pieces ; and sumptuous costumes have heightened the effect of the miss en scene. As the public at large were incapable of duly appreciating the French Plays, we hope that the spirited entrepreneur has been amply compensated by his sub- scribers.
