" DISRAELIANA "

If your correspondents' " Disraeliana " is still permitted to proceed, may I recall his pungent description of his great political antagonist, in a speech in the House ? He denounced Gladstone as A sophistical rhetorician, inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity ; and gifted with an egotistical imagination which can at all times command an interminable and inconsistent series of arguments to malign his opponent and to glorify himself." I quote from memory ; but I think this is correct.—W. MORTIMER WEIR, Delgany Rectory, Co. Wicklow.
