A BRITISH EXHIBITION IN ARGENTINA.

A large and appropriate building is in course of con- struction here for the purpose of housing H.M. Legation in a fitting manner ; I understand the erection is supervised by a representative of the Board of Works. But why, in these days and, especially, in these parts is it found necessary to use steel from Luxemburg and other materials from the United States ? Rather an invidious corollary to the so recent British Exhibition in the Argentine and to the much- talked-of commercial aspect of the recent tour of H.R.H. the Prince of Wales.—GRINGO, Lima, Peru.
