Moro's convergences

Sir: With reference to 'Moro, the conciliator', by Peter Nichols (22 April), I would like to point out that Moro was not famous for his 'converging parallels', as the author says, but for his 'parallel convergences' (the Italian text is, in fact 'con' vergente parallele', and not 'parallele, cow' vergenti' as it would be with Nichols s translation.

Needless to say, both expressions are meaningless, either in geometry or in poll" tics.
