Polish reading

Sir: It is with some delay that I came to know how it happened that I am getting The Spectator every week. I read your letter from 12 January and accompanying discussion with surprise and delight. I fully agree with Mr Ascherson, that it would be great help if the British Medical Journal were sent to Poland, but may I point also, that getting acquainted with the top experience of modern conservative country is of immense value. Especially now, when we are engaged, at the Round Table, in building some sort of a founda- tion for a more democratic order here.

I would like therefore to express nlY deep gratitude to both of you and to an unknown friend, who covered the costs of my subscription.
