(Religious Tract Society.)—One can hardly expect much that is new in a popular book on this subject; but we get exactly what we are led to expect by the title, a convenient account of the subject by a writer who is thoroughly well acquainted with it, and who knows how to put his knowledge in a convenient and accessible shape. The book is divided into twelve chapters, the animals mentioned are several hundreds in number, and there are between two and three hundred illustrations.
