As regards the incident at Benghazi, whe the French Consul was compelled to hoist the Italian flag beside the French flag, Signor Mussolini pointed ou that the Italian colonel suggested that this should done merely for the purpose of restoring order. H admitted, however,- that the action was unfortunate an he had admonished the officer. The strongest hope peace is the fact that Signor Mussolini, as we kno from past incidents, is capable of being more prudent than • many of his followers. The Fascists have been raising a new Italia Irredenta cry in regard to the Fren towns with old Italian names.
