big-game hunter in Bulawayo is reported as offering half-a-dozen baby crocodiles to anyone who will give them a "good home." Competitors are invited to wile a letter (limit 150 words) explaining their passionate need for a baby crocodile and giving some details of the good home and its amenities) which they can offer. The usual prize of £5 will be awarded.

Entries must be addressed to the Spectator, 99 Gower Street, London, W.C.1, in envelopes marked 'Competition," and must be received not later than November 24th. Results will be published in the Spectator of December 4th.
