British beef

Sir: On 4 January I wrote you a letter sug- gesting that your cookery expert was wrong in using rump steak for steak and kidney Pudding and pointing out that the right choice was shin.

To my surprise I have just received a let- ter from a Michael Finucane, Secretary of the Institute for Nationalist Affairs, of Which I had never heard. He apparently found my letter 'interesting' and only some nine months liter feels that I am a suitable person to join his organisation.

I fail to see how my interest in maintain- ing high culinary .standards can indicate interest in any of the following worries of the Institute: the collapse of industry; the diminution of national sovereignty; the colonisation of our cities by foreigners; the damage done to our education system; and the loss of our traditional rights to say what we think and do what we want.

I did not send a donation and wonder whether any other of your other correspon- dents has been followed up?
