what is the. result ? There is no use in disguising the fact—the Conservatives have signally triumphed over the Liberals. 'We cannot estimate with confidence the exact amount of gains by the Tory party ; but we know enough of those gains to inspire us with the deepest regret at the suc- cess of our opponents.—Morning Advertiser.
