From a protocol, signed so far back as the 7th

January, and -which has been transmitted to this country from Greece, it appears that the three powers of France, England, and Russia, recognize the -National Assembly of Argos. After requiring from the As- sembly a mild and impartial administration of the laws, they state that, as one great point aimed at in the treaty of the 6th July 1827 was the suppression of piracy in the Levant, the naval corn- tnanders of the three Powers will not authorize the sailing of any ship whatever, without permits and regular documents from the competent authorities. The three Powers agree to consider the demand made on them to guarantee a loan for the support of the Provisional Government. The protocol makes no mention of the futiare Sovereign ; he had not been fixed on at the date of it.
