Castle Meadow. By Mrs. Marshall. (Seeley and Co.)—This story is

scarcely up to the highest level of Mrs. Marshall's work, not so much, perhaps, because it lacks the characteristic merits of the author, as because the personages in whom its interest is supposed to centre are not sufficiently picturesque or striking. Still it will be found to repay perusal ; the locality, Norwich, in the days when it was a more important place than it is now, is well described, and the characters are lifelike.
