Black misgivings

From Fr John Carey Sir: Whatever may or may not have appeared in the Telegraph Group titles about 'the affairs of Lord Black', it is absurd for Stephen Glover (Media, 7 August) to claim that journalists here have neither remarked upon them nor passed on our 'misgivings' to others.

Over the past two or three years, the Telegraph's National Union of Journalists' chapel has repeatedly raised serious questions about, for example, Lord Black's general management of the group, the millions of pounds paid out in 'management fees' and the lavish salaries or bonuses pocketed by the likes of Dan Colson, the chief executive, and Barbara Amid, Lord Black's wife.
