The Observance of Sunday On Tuesday the London County Council

discussed the desirability of appealing to the House of Lords against the last legal decision about the Sunday opening of cinemas. The feeling of the majority was that Parliament should be asked to pass a new Bill. That is surely the right way. The present Act is ancient and obsolete, 'nit it is on the Statute Book, and it is still good in law though bad in sense. There would be no probability of the Lords reversing the recent decision.
