Letters from Oxford confirm a previous report which has been contradicted, that the Reverend Bernard Smith, a member of Magdalen College, has been converted to the Roman Catholic faith : a letter was received by the President of the College, on Thursday, from Mr. Smith himself, admitting the fact. He retains his valuable preferment at Leadenham, in Lincolnshire, until another member of his family can succeed him.
