A WORKING MAN'S THANKS.

[To THE Enema or THE "Sewers:m."1

Sia,—A few weeks ago you kindly published a letter from me, in which I referred to Homer's Odyssey and gave quotations there- from. May I say that I have received two or three very pleasant, appreciative, and encouraging lettere from gentlemen, complete strangers to me, but who plead the "bonds of good literature" in justification? Will you kindly allow me space to thank the gentleman who wrote to me anonymously, and also sent to me a large framed picture of " The Aurora" of Guido Reni, from the ceiling of the Palazzo Roopigliosi, Rome? Unfortunately, the glass was broken in transit, otherwise the frame and picture are in perfect order. My best thanks to the thoughtful sender.—
