By a decree published in the official journal at Lisbon,

on the 31st of May, the Portuguese Cortes are convoked to meet on the 15th of August. The mode of election is to be the same as in 1826. The Peers who in 1823 turned traitors to the Queen and the Constitution, are prohibited from sitting in this assembly.

Letters from Lisbon state that the privileges of the °ports Wine Company have been abolished by the Portuguese Government.
