The Coal Industry : Dangers of Natimwlization. By Harold Cox.

(Longmans. 6d.)—In this lucid and vigorous pamphlet Mr. Cox has printed his evidence before the Coal Commission, with some additions. He deals faithfully with the misrepre- sentations of the case in a Fabian tract by Mr. Sidney Webb, who declares that the State could supply coal at a pound a ton although the cost of coal at the pit mouth for wages only is now nearly twenty-four shillings a ton. Yet Mr. Webb is a member of the Coal Commission ! Mr. Cox's pamphlet should be widely and carefully read.
