A Cottager's Pleasures A verse has reached me and is

at least a propos to this subject. It is called " A Countrywoman's Prayer " :

" Give me the little common blooms, That no one greatly praises, They are not rare ; but, oh, how fair, Our buttercups and daisies.

Give me the little common joys ; The Sunday rest from labours, A simple book, a pleasant look, ' Good morning' from good neighbours.

In little common daily things Always my truest bliss is ; A prayer to God, a sleepy nod, And children's sudden kisses."
