In My Garden Those gardeners—I hope they are many—'who correlate

their -plants with their bees, should .all grow Cotoneaster -Horizontalis. My bees, and those of some neighbours, show a marked passion for the floviers, even to the point of tearing open the half-closed buds: The evidence is that it supplies good and plentiful honey ; and that at a date whew:die fruit-blossom is over. It is a hardy and useful shrub.; and- in some more or legs recent experiments has been grafted on to a standareto the making of a quaint and comely umbrella-tree.
