In defence of Concorde

Sir: I do not believe I am alone in thinking that never in the field of news has a subject been so much covered for so long for the interest of so few—as the Concorde.

When faced with the prospect of reading your five columns by Angus Maude, MP (7 March), an involuntary yawn rose within me. Granted, hands across the sea; granted British prestige at stake; granted keeping people employed—all most important and worthy, but the ultimate result?
