Unlettered

A reader received this letter from Ren- dall and Rittner Limited, residential managing agents:

Dear Sirs, Unfortunately, Rendall and Rittner Limited has had a complaint that you have a cat in Flat C and are putting milk in the communal corridors for it.

We wish to point out that the lease to all flats at Felstead Wharf, (including Flat C), does not permit residents to keep pets thus by having your cat you are placing your Landlord in breach of his !case.

We would request that you do not place food or liquids in the common areas and do not allow your cat out of the flat when you are not in it. Other tenants have to let it in and it may then foul the carpets.

So long as the problem concerning milk being left in the corridors is rectified, then the Management Company wishes to take no further action. Should this problem reoccur, then the Management Company will require that your , cat is removed from the premises.

Yours sincerely, J.W.M. RITTNER.
