The pamphlet war on the Question of Italy, hitherto carried

on ehiefix by M. Dentu and one or two other Paris publishers, has made its way into Austrian territory, by the appearance of a brochure, written in Italian, by Count Charles Catinelli, formerly colonel and staff-officer of the Anglo- Sicilian army under Lord William Bentinek. It advocated in the most energetic manner the right and the duty of the House of Hapsburg to hold Lombardy. The chief argument of the Count is, that the Lombardo- Venetian kingdom is better governed, and is a more flourishing state than any other part of the Italian peninsula, Sardinia not excepted.
