The National Gallery is, it appears, to be built in

the gardens of Burlington House, the house not to be pulled down until the building wants wings. The wall space will be 3,000 feet lineal, and the cost 150,0001. That last item, however, is only a depart- mental idea, and most rich men would be quite contented with the difference between that sum and the one which will be spent.
