Rugby League

Old prejudices die hard and no one could be more prejudiced in favour of Rugby Union than Quoodle. All the same, the best game I've seen this year of either code was the Rugby League final between Wigan and Hunslet at Wembley. The goal-kicking alone would have won any Rugby Union international match played last season. And I have an uneasy sus- picion that the. Wigan team I saw (on television) last Saturday, or the St. Helens side I saw play at St. Helens early in the season, would have beaten any side that played Rugby Union last season. Lamentable, perhaps, but I fear it is true.
