THE BIBLE AND EUCLID

Snt,—I always read "A Spectator's Notebook'' with great interest. A month back the writer ventured to state that next to the Bible the most widely read book was Euclid. Are you sure that this was a correct statement? I have always understood that the Pundits said that the Imitatio came next to the Bible.—Yours very truly,
