Fruit Trees

We are half way through the month that is best for fruit-tree plant- ing. Remember that the morello cherry does well on a north wall, that the hollow often holds frost when the sun is on the hill, and an east wind can bring havoc in the spring. Plant to the earth-mark on the tree or bush. Bone-meal and ash as well as broken sods are

useful additions to the soil. IAN NIALL.
