In a second edition, the Morning Chronicle has intelligence from

Paris of yesterday's date. A telegraphic despatch of the 8th instant had been received from Madrid- " The elections have terminated almost everywhere, with the exception of the Colleges of Barcelona and Girona. Those of the Balearic Isles and of the Canaries are not yet known. Burgos, Lerida, and Salamanca, must proceed to second elections. Up to the present time, one hundred and eighty-seven Deputies have been appointed. The opinions of thirty of them are not known. The rest may be classed as follow: sixty Moderados, and sixty to seventy enter- taining the opinions represented by MM. Olozaga and Cortina ; thirty Fran- cisquistes, Centralists, Republicans, &c. Of the Chamber, which is composed of two hundred and forty Deputies, only about one hundred and eighty ordinarily meet. The Parliamentary majority will be considerable."

The despatch states that an insurrectionary movement had been de- cisively suppressed at Granada ; but not without considerable loss in killed and wounded on both sides.
