By the arrival of the packet ship Siddons at Liverpool,

from New York, American papers to the 26th of August have been received; but they supply no news of importance. Another extensive seizure of -woollen goods had been made at Philadelphia by the custom-house officers. The accounts of the wheat crop were generally favourable. In Michagan alone, it was expected that the harvest would yield six millions of bushels. The yellow fever continued to attack strangers at New Orleans and Charleston.
