[TO THE EDITOR OF THE " SPEersToR.-] Sut,—"Kid," the word which seems to have puzzled you in your notice of the "History of Leicester," is neither an animal nor a sort of cup, but "a small brush-faggot" (vide "Bailey's Dic- tionary"),—for bonfires, no doubt ; " brush-wood,"—" small sticks for fuel" (ibid.).—I am, Sir, &c., J.
