The Connoisseur. (Sampson Low, Marston, and Co. ls.)—The first number

of this monthly magazine deals with a variety of subjects, from Greek gems to Mafeking siege stamps. An article describes Sir C. Tennant's collection of pictures, and old plate marks, furniture, and lace are treated of. The illustrations are very well done, and the magazine should be useful to those who are interested in "collections."
