The Easter Monday Review came off on Monday as usual

at Brighton. Some 24,000 men attended, and the manceuvres are said to have been creditably performed ; but it is argued that the Volunteers should not be asked to do in a review what they will never do on service,—manoeuvre without regular troops. Is it quite impossible to try the experiment of camping 10,000 Volun- teers out for a week, with everything arranged as if for active service ?
