Provost of King's

CHRISTOPHER HOLLIS

The world is so full of a number of things, I'm sure I would love to be Provost of King's. In a hundred years' time, the good Provost has said, All family life will be buried and dead, And babies from test tubes parked out in a nursery Till a college in Cambridge will stand them a bursary. - Even now the tycoon after every miscarriage Will take a new job and contract a new marriage, And social engagements will prove a lot easier When each man has five wives as in south Polynesia. The advantage of this polygamical plan Can clearly be seen from the point of the man. The only predictable snag to be found Is how to scrape up enough girls to go round.
