The Derby Reporter mentions a serious accident on the North

Midland Rail- way, on Monday. A train was approaching Wingfield, early in the morning, when the axle-tree of a second-class carriage broke; several carriages were smashed with the sudden stoppage, some of the rails were torn up, and the two engines broke loose. No one, however, was hurt, except the guard: who was but slightly braised.
