The Cambridge University Calendar for the Year 1915-1916. tUniversity Press.

7s. 6d, net.)—This appears late owing to

shortage of staff at the University Press. Its form is as usual, and might seem to belie the fact modestly mentioned that ten thousand two hundred and fifty members of the University are serving the country in the war. Its special war records are mainly depressing ones of finance and emergency graces that make allowances for undergraduates who are serving. The account of the hospitality given to the professors and students of Louvain and other academic institutions of Belgium are ar.-zt. moving. The correspondence between the ex-Vice-Chancellor and the Belgian authorities shows a magnanimous dignity worthy of the persons, of the bodies and traditions they represent, and of the tragedy of the circumstances.
