(Hodder and Stoughton. 8s. 6d. net.)—Turn About Tales are told by two authors, and it is difficult to see why they should have been arranged in chapters as the stories concerned have nothing to do with each other. There is a great deal of entertaining reading in the book, which will suit many tastes. Some people will think that the story called " Reprisals " is the most successful.—.The Red Lady. By K. N. Burt. (Con- stable. 7s. 6d. net.)—An American story in which the mysteries of secret passages and gangs of villains are fully exploited. It is a pity that by the exigencies of the plot the villain of the piece is required to be the mother of the heroine.
