SOME BOOKS OF THE WEEK.

[Notice in this column does not necessarily preclude subsequent review.]

The II ibbert J ournal for January contains a thoughtful article by Dr. Foster Watson on " Tho Entente Cordiale of the Humanist Spirit as the Basis of a League of Nations," and an appeal by Professor Curtis, of Edinburgh, for " A League of Churches." With these may be contrasted Mrs. Wootton's unorthodox considerations on " The Use and Abuse of Organized Religion." Mr. C. W. Emmet discusses " The Miracles of Sadhu Sunder Singh," and Mr. C. G. Montefiore writes on " Anti-Semitism in England."
